Maple taffy on snow will also be prepared with organic Quebec maple syrup from Cosman & Webb by Yvon Sévigny and Dany Doiron.

In the evening at 7:00pm, celebrate with Alpha Yaya Diallo; guitarist, singer, and songwriter, and three-time Juno Award winner! A true multicultural artist, he sings in French, English, as well as in his native Guinean languages: Fulani, Malinké, and Sosoxi. Learn more about Alpha here.

1:15 p.m.: Storytime with Sonia Zagwyn! Sonia has worked in libraries for more than 25 years. During her time as Children’s Services Coordinator at PRPL she has taught herself ukulele, delivered over 700 storytimes, and innovated a growing number of programs for kids. In 2022, she was awarded the British Columbia Library Association YAACS Award for excellence in service to children and youth. Some of her favourite Children’s Books authors and illustrators are Francophone, including Elise Gravel and Isabelle Arsenault. She looks forward to sharing stories and songs in French at this year’s Francophone festival!

2:00 p.m.: Family groove with France Gendron! Groove is the most fun and easy to follow dance experience. This is where we can express ourselves in our own way, regardless of age. Come have fun with your children, with the community and explore your creativity on a variety of music from around the world!

The content will be adapted for primary age children, with whom older and younger children can easily join in!
